served as Program Chair for the Sept. 1998 conference in Bloomington of Indiana Teachers of Writing. She is now President of ITW.
served as Consultant for the Gary Public Schools' Federal Challenge Grant, working with 36 teachers who are part of a four-million-dollar federal grant project to integrate technology into the African American/African Infusion Curriculum in middle schools in Gary.
